Join us for an authentic Haitian dinner in the RCS cafeteria and learn more about Roanoke Catholic’s drive to organize a Haiti Committee. The menu features chicken, fried pork, soup joumou (the traditional soup served on Haitian Independence Day), beans and rice, and Haitian cake for dessert. There is no fee to attend, though donations are encouraged to cover the cost of the meal.
After the meal, Dr. Cynthia Unwin will share photos and experiences from her three trips to Haiti and discuss next steps for families who are interested in being part of the Roanoke Catholic Haiti Committee. RSVP by Friday, Nov. 9, via the form below. Questions or for more information, please contact Dr. Cyndy Unwin, firstname.lastname@example.org.
