US Standardized Testing
Standardized tests are
administered to students in grades 9, 10, and 11. Tests are given to
determine student capability, interest, potential, and achievement. The
Terra Nova test is administered to the 9th grade in the Spring and the
Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) is administered to 10th and
11th grades in October. In addition, Advanced Placement examinations
are available in May. Also, the Assessment of Catholic Religious
Education (ACRE) test is administered in February to freshman and
juniors. Results of all standardized tests become part of a student’s
permanent record.
