Our Varsity Wrestling team won the VISAA State Championship for Division III. They did an outstanding job on the mats this year! Also, Coach Dave Burns was named the VISAA Wrestling Coach of the Year for 2012. What an honor!

• Our Co-ed Varsity Swim team was also successful this year in bringing home 2nd in the VISAA State Swim Meet this past weekend. We have another winning coach as well…The VIC Coach of the Year is our very own Louis Tudor from Roanoke Catholic.

Dancers will be performing in the Talent Show, although they will not have to audition to be in the show.

We are also starting some fundraising so we can start the development of a dance studio space with suspended wooden oak floors, or a portable dance floor, mirrors, a nice sound system, and more.  To this end we will be selling carnations at the Talent Show for parents to present to their little stars.  If anyone is interested in helping with additional fundraising please let Mitzi know at mkeyley@cox.net.

  • Our annual Bread and Broth Days  will be held on Wednesday, February 22 (Ash Wednesday) and April 4, our last full day of classes before Easter Break.  Only a roll, nutritious vegetable broth, and milk will be served for lunch that day; no ice cream, cookies, or snacks will be available.  The Upper School Break period will be social only;  no food will be sold during this time.  All proceeds will be donated to RAM House to provide food for the homeless.  We are very proud to say that almost all of our students, faculty, and staff members participate in this day of solidarity with the hungry.  The price of lunch will be the same.  If any students do not participate in the buying of lunch that day, we encourage them to bring a simple lunch to join with the spirit of the day.  Donations will be accepted in lieu of lunch money.
