Celtic News

Roanoke Catholic School students, alumni, parents, and friends:plaque
We are currently renovating the Upper School Gymnasium floor at Roanoke Catholic. This will be a 6-8 week process that entails removing the old gym floor (built in 1964), and then replacing it with a modern floor and a different design/paint scheme. We are selling commemorative plaques with a piece of the old gym floor attached, along with a picture of the old floor. The cost per placard will be $50 and all proceeds will benefit the RCS Athletic Program. Please join us in preserving this special piece of Roanoke Catholic history while also contributing to the RCS Athletic Program. These wonderful placards will not last long! To place an order please send your request by email to jhannah@roanokecatholic.com or fill out and send in this order form.

Paul B. Shen, class of 2006, writes that he expects that his address “will change 2-3 more times over the next few years here as I begin and finish flight training and then to my permanent duty station. Other non-wrestling news I commission on MAy 11th as a NFO and then  head to Pensacola Florida for flight training.  Lily, my oldest is now 3 and will be 4 in August, and Lucy will be 2 in May. Stefie and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary and we are looking forward to many more. Finally I just finished my 2nd season as an assistant wrestling coach at Lafayette Central Catholic. They are a very small program, only 4 varsity wrestlers this year but they work hard. Wrestling in Indiana is very different than I remember wrestling being back home. It fills me with pride to see all the positive news coming out of the RCS program, and to know that I was among the great group of guys who helped to get the program started.”
